MATEO Employment Services provides Community Based Assessments (CBAs), Job Placement and Job Retention services for customers participating in DVR services and Private Clients. MATEO also provides services to individuals participating in the Social Security Ticket to Work Program (TTW). MATEO Employment Services is dedicated to providing services that are individualized and tailored to meet the goal of each client. Local services are conducted at mutually agreed upon, public locations. Services are offered Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Retention services will be provided during off shifts and weekends as needed. Clients can expect to receive direct services weekly/bi-weekly depending on the needs of each client. All services are provided directly by MATEO Employment Services. For DVR and TTW clients, all fees for services are funded by DVR and Social Security Ticket to Work, clients are not charged a fee for services provided by MATEO Employment Services.

Private Pay Clients will be informed of charges during the informational meeting.


Services are customized for each individual and may include:


Community Based Assessments (CBAs) (Volunteer setting)

  • Identify barriers to employment
  • Assist with identifying realistic job goals
  • Determine the level of service (DVR)


Job Placement Services

  • Resume development
  • Job search strategies
  • Application assistance
  • Networking with employers
  • Interview practice
  • Attending interviews with customers


Job Retention Services (DVR 90-days) (Private Clients TBD)

  • Assistance with new hire orientation/paperwork
  • Job coaching to ensure proper training
  • Assistance with identifying and advocating for accommodations if necessary


Once hired and appropriate training is complete, customers are expected to independently perform assigned duties at the standard set by the employer.


Social Security Ticket to Work:

  • Social Security’s Ticket to Work program supports career development for Social Security disability beneficiaries age 18 through 64 who want to work. The Ticket program is free and voluntary. The Ticket program helps people with disabilities progress toward financial independence.
